AI in the Writer's Toolbox: Using Canva's Tools to Spark and Share Narrative Writing

Learn how Emily Ross (5/6 Classroom Teacher) and Laurie Williams introduced students to Canva's AI tools to build student engagement. Sixth graders used the tools to create scenes to illustrate their narrative writing, providing an imaginative outlet and even an inspiring graphic organizer for even the most reluctant of writers. Fih graders used the tools to design and build their own Ambiance Rooms. The students' favorite part: AI Epic Fails! Ask us about the shark off Cape Cod! There will be time for participants to explore Canva tools with their Canva for Education account. It is recommended that this account be signed up for in advance. The presenters will also lead an exploration for those without a Canva for Education account.
